Cocoa Bean Price in the Dominican Republic (FOB) - 2023
The average cocoa bean export price stood at $2,958 per ton in March 2023, increasing by 6.9% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2023 to March 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.6%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($5,620 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($2,475 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (+50.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
