Chocolate and Confectionery Price in Spain (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average chocolate and confectionery import price amounted to $3,940 per ton, shrinking by -10% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 an increase of 16% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $4,378 per ton in June 2023, and then declined in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($6,397 per ton), while the price for Germany ($2,860 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ghana (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average chocolate and confectionery export price stood at $5,083 per ton in July 2023, rising by 7.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 11% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in July 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($6,656 per ton), while the average price for exports to Morocco ($3,459 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
