In June 2023, the average chlorides; of calcium export price amounted to $1,343 per ton, flattening at the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a moderate expansion from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, chlorides; of calcium export price decreased by -14.0% against April 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 30% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $1,562 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Japan ($2,652 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($299 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (+8.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average chlorides; of calcium import price amounted to $732 per ton, growing by 2.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a pronounced downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 81%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,714 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($2,850 per ton), while the price for Slovenia ($253 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+12.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
