The second position in the ranking was held by Romania ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Slovakia, with a 4.5% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Belgium amounted to +6.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Romania (-2.7% per year) and Slovakia (-19.4% per year).

In 2021, overseas purchases of bromides and bromide oxides, iodides and iodide oxides increased by 128% to X tons, rising for the third year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, imports showed a resilient increase. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country
In 2021, the UK (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of bromides, iodides and oxids thereof to the Czech Republic, with a 52% share of total imports. Moreover, bromides, iodides and oxids thereof imports from the UK exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by the Netherlands (X tons), with a 13% share.

In terms of the main suppliers, the UK, with a CAGR of +25.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
