In 2022, the average cherry export price amounted to $4,149 per ton, which is down by -20.9% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a perceptible decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average export price increased by 171%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $5,245 per ton in 2021, and then declined notably in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($6,766 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mali ($787 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2015 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mali (+16.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
