Cement Clinker Price in Germany (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average cement clinker export price amounted to $118 per ton, surging by 17% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw measured growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 342% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $440 per ton. From February 2023 to June 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Italy ($715 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($87.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+22.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Cement Clinker Price in Germany (CIF) - 2022
The average cement clinker import price stood at $150 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 136% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a notable increase. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Algeria ($1,067 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($61 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Latvia (+57.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, cement clinker exports from Germany reduced rapidly to 130K tons, falling by -44.9% on the year before. Overall, exports recorded a precipitous setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 166% against the previous year.

Cement Clinker Imports in Germany
In 2022, supplies from abroad of cement clinker decreased by -62.5% to 81K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 540% against the previous year.
