The average carbonates; potassium carbonate export price stood at $892 per ton in June 2023, dropping by -31.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a pronounced decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 10% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $1,606 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to June 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Japan ($1,765 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($424 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
