Bridge Price in Australia (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average bridge import price amounted to $2,687 per ton, rising by 4.5% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a notable expansion from July 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, bridge import price decreased by -5.5% against March 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 75% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,659 per ton. From October 2022 to July 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($3,757 per ton), while the price for India amounted to $1,495 per ton.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Indonesia (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Bridge Price in Australia (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average bridge export price amounted to $12,842 per ton, with an increase of 114% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a tangible expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 259% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $13,844 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Nauru ($19,775 per ton), while the average price for exports to Papua New Guinea ($2,158 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Fiji (+23.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Bridge Imports in Australia
