Blueberry and Cranberry Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023

In September 2023, the average blueberry and cranberry export price amounted to $9,245 per ton, picking up by 60% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated a resilient expansion from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, blueberry and cranberry export price increased by +61.0% against July 2023 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($13,420 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($2,444 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Estonia (+12.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Blueberry and Cranberry Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023

The average blueberry and cranberry import price stood at $10,337 per ton in September 2023, jumping by 111% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated resilient growth from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +6.4% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, blueberry and cranberry import price increased by +117.6% against July 2023 indices. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Spain ($13,474 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($6,663 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Blueberry and Cranberry Exports in Poland

In 2022, blueberry and cranberry exports from Poland stood at 27K tons, growing by 4.8% compared with 2021 figures. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +13.0% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

In value terms, blueberry and cranberry exports fell to $127M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +5.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 35%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $146M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
