In 2022, the average bicycle export price amounted to $149 per unit, increasing by 28% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, bicycle export price increased by +70.1% against 2017 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($235 per unit), while the average price for exports to Greece ($105 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+17.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($652 per unit), while the price for Germany ($58 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In value terms, bicycle exports fell to $21M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 51% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $23M in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
