Amino Resin Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average amino resin import price amounted to $1,850 per ton, shrinking by -10.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a perceptible descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 3.7% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $2,493 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,547 per ton), while the price for Saudi Arabia ($1,528 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (-1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Amino Resin Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
The average amino resin export price stood at $2,045 per ton in September 2023, declining by -7.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 an increase of 6.4% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $2,595 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($2,369 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($1,521 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Amino Resin Imports in Turkey
For the fourth year in a row, Turkey recorded growth in supplies from abroad of amino resins, which increased by 0.4% to 194K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +11.9% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 24%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, amino resin imports stood at $506M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 93%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Amino Resin Exports in Turkey
For the fourth consecutive year, Turkey recorded growth in overseas shipments of amino resins, which increased by 18% to 35K tons in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a strong expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +18.1% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +64.6% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
In value terms, amino resin exports rose remarkably to $96M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 82% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
