Aluminium Wire Price in Finland (CIF) - 2023

The average aluminium wire import price stood at $3,389 per ton in July 2023, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 7.1% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3,517 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Spain ($5,401 per ton), while the price for Italy ($3,007 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Oman (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average aluminium wire export price stood at $2,407 per ton in 2022, almost unchanged from the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $2,984 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
