Aluminium Tube Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average aluminium tube export price amounted to $4,679 per ton, picking up by 32% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.8%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($7,674 per ton), while the average price for exports to Morocco ($3,762 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Argentina (+9.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average aluminium tube import price stood at $4,307 per ton in July 2023, which is down by -38.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2022 an increase of 162% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $10,185 per ton. From September 2022 to July 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was India ($14,795 per ton), while the price for Italy ($3,071 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+17.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Aluminium Tube Exports in Turkey

In 2022, overseas shipments of aluminium tubes and pipes decreased by -16% to 3.2K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, exports recorded a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 10% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 4K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, aluminium tube exports rose remarkably to $15M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +12.1% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Aluminium Tube Imports in Turkey

In 2022, supplies from abroad of aluminium tubes and pipes decreased by -10% to 168 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, saw a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 162% against the previous year.

In value terms, aluminium tube imports totaled $975K in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated significant growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +20.0% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +72.8% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 61% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
