Which Country Exports the Most Domestic Food Grinders in the World?

Global food mixer exports totaled 898K tonnes in 2016, picking up by 22% against the previous year figure. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% from 2007 to 2016; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations over the period under review. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016, when export increased by 22% y-o-y. Global food mixer export peaked of 990K tonnes in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2016, it failed to regain its strength.

In value terms, food mixer exports totaled $11B in 2016. Overall, it indicated a prominent growth from 2007 to 2016: the total exports value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Global food mixer export peaked of $11B in 2015, falling back in the following year.

Food Mixer Exports By Country

China (420K tonnes) represented the largest exporting country with an export of around 420K tonnes, which reached 47% of total exports. Czech Republic (63K tonnes) took a 7% share (based on tonnes) of global food mixer exports, which put it in second place, following the U.S. (6%), and Germany (5%). France (29K tonnes), Italy (28K tonnes), Belgium (24K tonnes), China, Hong Kong SAR (23K tonnes), the Netherlands (23K tonnes), Mexico (22K tonnes), United Arab Emirates (19K tonnes), and Slovenia (14K tonnes) followed a long way behind this figure.

China experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. At the same time, Czech Republic (+28.7%), the Netherlands (+19.6%), China, Hong Kong SAR (+11.0%), the U.S. (+10.9%), Belgium (+8.4%), Germany (+4.9%), Italy (+3.5%), and Slovenia (+3.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Czech Republic emerged as the fastest growing importer/exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +28.7% from 2007-2016. France, and Mexico experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, United Arab Emirates (-1.5%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (4%) increased significantly, the share of China, Hong Kong SAR (-1.6%), Germany (-1.9%), the Netherlands (-2.1%), the U.S. (-3.6%), and Czech Republic (-6.2%) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($5B) remains the largest food mixer supplier in the world, making up 46% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Germany ($890M), with the share of 8% of global exports. It was followed by the U.S., with the share of 6%.

In China, food mixer exports stood at an average annual rate of +10.3% over the period from 2007-2016. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates: Germany (+3.3% per year) and the U.S. (+7.8% per year).

Food Mixer Export Prices By Country

The average food mixer export price stood at $12 per kg in 2016, descending by -19.3% against the previous year. Overall, it indicated a notable expansion from 2007 to 2016: the export price value increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Based on the result of 2016, food mixer export price decreased by -22.0% against its level of 2014. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014, when export price increased by 51% y-o-y. In that year, average food mixer export price attained its maximum level of $16 per kg. From 2015 to 2016, growth of average food mixer export price failed to regain its strength.

Export prices varied noticeably by country of destination. the country with the highest export prices was Germany ($18 per kg), while United Arab Emirates ($2,660 per tonne) was among the lowest.

From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of food mixer export prices was attained by China (+11.4% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
