U.S. Exports of Balloons and Dirigibles Increased by 28% in 2014
The U.S. is one of the leaders in the global trade of balloons and dirigibles, gliders, hang gliders and other non-powered aircraft. In 2014, the U.S. exported X units of balloons and dirigibles, gliders, hang gliders and other non-powered aircraft totaling X million USD, X% over the previous year. Its primary trading partner was the Republic of Korea, where it supplied X% of its total balloons and dirigibles, gliders, hang gliders and other non-powered aircraft exports in value terms.
From 2007 to 2014, the U.S. was a net importer of balloons and dirigibles, gliders, hang gliders and other non-powered aircraft. Over this period, imports consistently exceeded exports in value terms.
Germany and Israel were among the other global suppliers of balloons and dirigibles, gliders, hang gliders and other non-powered aircraft in 2014. However, the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2014 were Japan (+X% per year) and the U.S. (+X% per year).
In 2014, the U.S.'s top X trading partners were the Republic of Korea, Argentina, New Zealand, France and Switzerland, with a combined X% share of the U.S.'s balloons and dirigibles, gliders, hang gliders and other non-powered exports. The share of the Republic of Korea increased significantly (+X percentage points), and the shares of the other trading partners also illustrated positive dynamics.
