In value terms, compounds with other nitrogen function exports expanded significantly to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports posted a buoyant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2012 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. As a result, exports reached the peak of $X. From 2013 to 2020, the growth exports failed to regain the momentum.

Exports by Country

Canada (X tonnes), Brazil (X tonnes) and Belgium (X tonnes) were the main destinations of compounds with other nitrogen function exports from the U.S., together accounting for X% of total exports. These countries were followed by Italy, Norway, Denmark, Argentina, Colombia, South Africa, the UK, China and Australia, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Italy, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2019, and then reduced in the following year.
