Salt Market Size in Sweden
The Swedish salt market was finally on the rise to reach $X in 2021, after two years of decline. In general, consumption, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the market remained at a lower figure.

Overall, exports, however, recorded a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tonnes in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, salt exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.
Exports by Country
Norway (X tonnes), Finland (X tonnes) and Denmark (X tonnes) were the main destinations of salt exports from Sweden, with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by the Czech Republic, which accounted for a further X 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Norway ($X), Finland ($X) and Denmark ($X) constituted the largest markets for salt exported from Sweden worldwide, together comprising X% of total exports. The Czech Republic lagged somewhat behind, accounting for a further X Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by X%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $X per tonne in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Finland ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per tonne), while the price for Egypt ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+X%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
