In 2021, shipments abroad of base stations decreased by -X% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after three years of growth. Over the period under review, exports recorded a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of X%. The export price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, declining by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the export price increased by X%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2020, and then reduced remarkably in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per ton), while Cambodia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, overseas purchases of base stations were finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2017, thus ending a three-year declining trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a perceptible setback. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, base station imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a perceptible curtailment.
