Vietnam represented the key exporting country with an export of about X tons, which resulted at X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Thailand (X tons), Malaysia (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons), together mixing up a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Singapore (X tons) and the Philippines (X tons) - each resulted at a X% share of total exports.

Vietnam was also the fastest-growing in terms of the aluminium tubes, pipes and tube or pipe fittings exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, the Philippines (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Thailand experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Malaysia (X%), Indonesia (X%) and Singapore (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Vietnam (X p.p.) and the Philippines (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Singapore (X p.p.), Malaysia (X p.p.) and Indonesia (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per ton), while the Philippines ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.

Imports by Country

Thailand was the major importing country with an import of around X tons, which resulted at X% of total imports. Vietnam (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Indonesia (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), the Philippines (X tons) and Cambodia (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total imports. Singapore (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Cambodia (with a CAGR of X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import price indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, aluminium tube import price increased by X% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
