Spinach Market Size in Poland

Spain (X tonnes), Belarus (X tonnes) and Sweden (X tonnes) were the main destinations of spinach exports from Poland, with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Estonia, Lithuania, Turkey, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Portugal, Latvia and France, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Estonia (+X% per year), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for spinach exported from Poland were the Czech Republic ($X), Estonia ($X) and Spain ($X), together accounting for X% of total exports.

Estonia (+X% per year) recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average spinach export price stood at $X per tonne in 2020, falling by -X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 a decrease of -X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per tonne in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, export prices failed to regain the momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Estonia, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the fourth year in a row, Poland recorded growth in purchases abroad of spinach, which increased by X% to X tonnes in 2020. Overall, imports saw significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2009 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, spinach imports soared to $X in 2020. In general, imports posted a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2009 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2020 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per tonne), while the price for Sweden ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands, while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
