From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Germany totaled +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belgium (-X% per year) and France (+X% per year).

The average cottonseed export price stood at $X per tonne in 2021, increasing by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a mild curtailment. The export price peaked at $X per tonne in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports into the Netherlands
For the fourth consecutive year, the Netherlands recorded growth in supplies from abroad of cottonseed, which increased by X% to X tonnes in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, cottonseed imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports posted a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Cameroon (X tonnes) constituted the largest cottonseed supplier to the Netherlands, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, cottonseed imports from Cameroon exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tonnes), threefold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Cameroon was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+X% per year) and Belgium (+X% per year).
In value terms, the largest cottonseed suppliers to the Netherlands were Belgium ($X), Germany ($X) and Cameroon ($X), together comprising X% of total imports.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per tonne), while the price for Cameroon ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
