The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 702% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, wind powered generator imports reduced dramatically to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a buoyant expansion.
