Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2013 to 2018, the growth of milk imports remained at a lower figure.

The United Arab Emirates (X tonnes), Brazil (X tonnes) and Turkey (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of milk imports to Iran, together accounting for X% of total imports. Kuwait, Pakistan, Oman and Ukraine lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Ukraine, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constituted the largest supplier of milk to Iran, comprising X% of total milk imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Kuwait ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by Turkey, with a X% share.
From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of value from the United Arab Emirates amounted to -X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kuwait (+X% per year) and Turkey (-X% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2018, the average milk import price amounted to $X per tonne, growing by X% against the previous year. Overall, the milk import price, however, continues to indicate a temperate reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average import prices for milk reached their peak figure at $X per tonne in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, import prices failed to regain their momentum.
