Lemon And Lime Market Size in Indonesia

Exports peaked at X tonnes in 2019, and then dropped notably in the following year.

In value terms, lemon and lime exports soared to $X in 2020. Overall, exports, however, recorded a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012 when exports increased by X% y-o-y. Exports peaked in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Malaysia (X tonnes) was the main destination for lemon and lime exports from Indonesia, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, lemon and lime exports to Malaysia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, France (X tonnes), more than tenfold.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Malaysia stood at +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: France (+X% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (-X% per year).

In value terms, France ($X), Malaysia ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X) were the largest markets for lemon and lime exported from Indonesia worldwide, together accounting for X% of total exports.

In terms of the main countries of destination, France (+X% per year) saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average lemon and lime export price stood at $X per tonne in 2020, surging by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated measured growth from 2007 to 2020: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was France ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Lemon and lime imports into Indonesia reduced notably to X tonnes in 2020, falling by -X% on the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tonnes, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, lemon and lime imports declined rapidly to $X in 2020. Overall, imports, however, recorded significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2019, and then contracted sharply in the following year.

In 2020, China (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of lemon and lime to Indonesia, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, lemon and lime imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Australia (X tonnes), fivefold. The U.S. (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of X% year-to-year. The import price peaked in 2020 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2020, the country with the highest price was the U.S. ($X per tonne), while the price for Egypt ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
