In 2020, the German soups market was finally on the rise to reach $X for the first time since 2017, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, consumption, however, showed a slight downturn. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to the U.S. ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by X% year-to-year.
