The French ghee market shrank markedly to $X in 2020, falling by -X% against the previous year. Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the highest prices were recorded for prices to Saudi Arabia ($X per tonne) and Greece ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($X per tonne) and Italy ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Taiwan (Chinese), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into France

Ghee imports into France shrank remarkably to X tonnes in 2020, with a decrease of -X% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, imports recorded a mild downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, ghee imports contracted sharply to $X in 2020. Overall, imports saw a slight descent.
