For the fifth year in a row, Finland recorded decline in market value of cereal flours, which decreased by -X% to $X in 2018. Overall, cereal flour consumption saw a mild reduction. In 2018, Turkey (X tonnes) and Kazakhstan (X tonnes) were the largest exporters of cereal floursacross the globe, together finishing at approx. X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Germany (X tonnes), generating a X% share of total exports. Argentina (X tonnes), Pakistan (X tonnes), Belgium (X tonnes), Egypt (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), France (X tonnes), Uzbekistan (X tonnes), Mexico (X tonnes) and Canada (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Uzbekistan (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest cereal flour supplier from Finland, comprising X% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Kazakhstan ($X), with a X% share of global exports. It was followed by Germany, with a X% share.
In Turkey, cereal flour exports expanded at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2018. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (+X% per year) and Germany (+X% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The cereal flour export price in Finland stood at $X per tonne in 2018, increasing by X% against the previous year. Over the last eleven-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +X%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2008 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. In that year, the export prices for cereal flours attained their peak level of $X per tonne. From 2009 to 2018, the growth in terms of the export prices for cereal flours remained at a lower figure.

Uzbekistan (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes), Angola (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), Syrian Arab Republic (X tonnes), France (X tonnes), Brazil (X tonnes), Guinea (X tonnes), Bolivia (X tonnes) and Somalia (X tonnes) occupied a minor share of total imports.

In value terms, Iraq ($X), Afghanistan ($X) and the U.S. ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2018, with a combined X% share of total imports. The Netherlands, France, Angola, Guinea, Brazil, Syrian Arab Republic, Uzbekistan, Bolivia and Somalia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2018, the cereal flour import price in Finland amounted to $X per tonne, jumping by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price indicated a temperate increase from 2007 to 2018: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
