Production By Country in the EU

Luxembourg (X tons) remains the largest sheet piling producing country in the European Union, accounting for X% of total volume. Moreover, sheet piling production in Luxembourg exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest producer, the Czech Republic (X tons), fivefold.

In Luxembourg, sheet piling production increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2020. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the Czech Republic (+X% per year) and Poland (+X% per year).

In 2020, sheet piling imports in the European Union shrank sharply to X tons, falling by -X% against the year before. Overall, imports saw a perceptible setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2020, the growth imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, sheet piling imports shrank markedly to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports showed a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X.
