Turkey, South Africa, Tunisia, Ghana, Kenya, the U.S., Yemen, Russia, Libya and Sudan lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2019, the biggest increases were in Ghana (+X% per year), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for lubricant additives exported from Egypt were Saudi Arabia ($X), Canada ($X) and Turkey ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by South Africa, Tunisia, Kenya, Russia, Ghana, the U.S., Sudan, Yemen, Libya and the Philippines, which together accounted for a further X (+X% per year) saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average lubricant additives export price stood at $X per tonne in 2019, stabilizing at the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 when the average export price increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, average export prices attained the maximum at $X per tonne in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2019, export prices failed to regain the momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2019, the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to the Philippines ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, total imports indicated a tangible expansion from 2007 to 2019: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last twelve years. Moreover, lubricant additives imports from France exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the U.S. (X tonnes), twofold.
