For the fourth year in a row, ECOWAS recorded growth in purchases abroad of gingerbread, which increased by 20% to X tons in 2022. Overall, imports posted a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 76% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
