In value terms, radar apparatus exports declined rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when exports increased by 35%. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
France (X units), Hungary (X units) and Slovakia (X units) were the main destinations of radar apparatus exports from the Czech Republic, with a combined 44% share of total exports. Germany, Turkey, Nigeria, Spain, South Africa, Bulgaria, the UK, Mexico, Poland and Latvia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 42%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for South Africa (with a CAGR of +79.1%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Turkey ($X), Germany ($X) and France ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for radar apparatus exported from the Czech Republic worldwide, with a combined 35% share of total exports. Slovakia, Spain, Nigeria, Hungary, Poland, Mexico, South Africa, the UK, Bulgaria and Latvia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 45%.
Nigeria, with a CAGR of +91.2%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average radar apparatus export price amounted to $X per unit, waning by -18.6% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 31%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2021, and then declined remarkably in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to France ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+10.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the Czech Republic
In 2022, purchases abroad of radar apparatus, radio navigational aid apparatus and radio remote control apparatus increased by 3.4% to X units, rising for the second year in a row after three years of decline. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a pronounced expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 41%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, radar apparatus imports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

China (X units), Germany (X units) and South Korea (X units) were the main suppliers of radar apparatus imports to the Czech Republic, together accounting for 52% of total imports. Vietnam, Hungary, France, Israel and Taiwan (Chinese) lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 40%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Vietnam (with a CAGR of +134.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest radar apparatus suppliers to the Czech Republic were Germany ($X), Israel ($X) and Hungary ($X), together accounting for 47% of total imports.
