The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +X% against 2014 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, melon imports surged to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

Spain (X tonnes), Italy (X tonnes) and Germany (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of melon imports to the Czech Republic, with a combined X% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Italy (+X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
