In value terms, organic pigments imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Spain (X tons) constituted the largest organic pigments supplier to Cuba, accounting for a 21% share of total imports. Moreover, organic pigments imports from Spain exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, France (X tons), twofold. Mexico (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 2.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Spain stood at -5.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: France (+10.0% per year) and Mexico (-21.2% per year).

In value terms, Spain ($X) constituted the largest supplier of synthetic organic coloring matter and pigments to Cuba, comprising 24% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by France ($X), with an 8.9% share of total imports. It was followed by Switzerland, with a 4.8% share.
