As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2022 to 2023, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Russia prevails in exports structure, finishing at X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2023. Kazakhstan (X tons) and Uzbekistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Uzbekistan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Kazakhstan (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2023, the share of Uzbekistan increased by X percentage points.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest sulphates supplier in the CIS, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with a X% share of total exports.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, imports decreased by X% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by X%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

Kazakhstan (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Belarus (X tons), Uzbekistan (X tons), Azerbaijan (X tons) and Tajikistan (X tons). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total imports. Armenia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

At the same time, Tajikistan (X%), Azerbaijan (X%) and Uzbekistan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, sulphates import price increased by X% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the import price increased by X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2022, and then shrank in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per ton), while Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
