The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Russia represented the major exporter of base metal closures, stoppers, caps and lids in the CIS, with the volume of exports recording X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X tons), achieving a X% share of total exports. Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (X%), Azerbaijan (X%), Armenia (X%), Belarus (X%), Kazakhstan (X%) and Uzbekistan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. While the share of Uzbekistan (X p.p.), Kyrgyzstan (X p.p.), Azerbaijan (X p.p.) and Belarus (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Russia (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
