Over the period under review, the aluminium imports reached its maximum volume of X tonnes in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2017, it failed to regain its momentum.

In value terms, aluminium imports totaled $X in 2017. The aluminium imports continue to indicate a strong increase. Over the period under review, the aluminium imports attained its peak figure level of $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2017, it stood at a somewhat lower level.

Imports by Country

Russia represented the major importing country with an import of around X tonnes, which accounted for X% of total imports. Armenia (X tonnes) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Belarus (X tonnes). All these countries together occupied near X% share of total imports. Kazakhstan (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.
