These countries were followed by Hong Kong SAR, Russia, Australia, Indonesia, South Korea, Viet Nam, the UK, Peru and Japan, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Viet Nam, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2012 to 2020, the growth imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, sesame oil imports expanded notably to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2012 to 2020, the growth imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2020, Bangladesh (X tonnes) constituted the largest sesame oil supplier to China, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, sesame oil imports from Bangladesh exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Japan (X tonnes), sixfold.
