In value terms, the largest manganese markets worldwide were South Korea ($X), Japan ($X) and Russia ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports.
Russia (+X% per year) experienced the highest rates of growth with regard to imports, in terms of the main importing countriesover the last decade, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Manganese Import Prices by Country in China
The manganese import price in China stood at $X per tonne in 2017, surging by X% against the previous year. Over the period from 2007 to 2017, it increased at an average annual rate of +X%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016, an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import prices for manganese reached its peak figure level in 2017, and is likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average import prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2017, the country with the highest import price was France ($X per tonne), while India ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
