Sweetcorn Market Size in Central Asia

The revenue of the sweetcorn market in Central Asia amounted to $X in 2017, coming up by X% against the previous year. Kazakhstan dominates sweetcorn exports structure, amounting to X tonnes, which was near X% of total exports in 2017. Mongolia (X tonnes) occupied the minor share of total exports.

Kazakhstan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern of sweetcorn (prepared or preserved ) exports. Mongolia (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Mongolia (X%) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2007-2017, the share of Kazakhstan (-X%) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest sweetcorn supplier in Central Asia, making up X% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Mongolia ($X), with a X% share of global exports.

From 2007 to 2017, the average annual growth rate of value in Kazakhstan was relatively modest.

Sweetcorn Export Prices by Country in Central Asia

In 2017, the sweetcorn export price in Central Asia amounted to $X per tonne, shrinking by -X% against the previous year. The sweetcorn export price continues to indicate a slight drop. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011, an increase of X% year-to-year. In that year, the export prices for sweetcorn (prepared or preserved ) reached their peak level of $X per tonne. From 2012 to 2017, growth of the export prices for sweetcorn (prepared or preserved ) stood at a somewhat lower level.

There were significant differences in the average export prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2017, the country with the highest export price was Mongolia ($X per tonne), while Kazakhstan ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2017, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export prices was attained by Mongolia (-X% per year).

Sweetcorn Imports in Central Asia

In 2017, imports of sweetcorn (prepared or preserved ) in Central Asia totaled X tonnes, increasing by X% against the previous year. The sweetcorn imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2011, with an increase of X% year-to-year. In that year, the sweetcorn imports reached their peak volume of X tonnes. From 2012 to 2017, growth of the sweetcorn imports failed to regain its momentum.

In value terms, sweetcorn imports amounted to $X in 2017. The sweetcorn imports continue to indicate a prominent expansion. The level of imports peaked of $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2017, it failed to regain its momentum.

Sweetcorn Imports by Country in Central Asia

In 2017, Kazakhstan (X tonnes) was the major importer for sweetcorn (prepared or preserved ), committing X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Kyrgyzstan (X tonnes), committing X% share of total imports. Mongolia (X tonnes) held the weak share of total imports.

From 2007 to 2017, average annual rates of growth with regard to sweetcorn imports into Kazakhstan stood at -X%. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+X%) and Mongolia (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest growing importer in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2017. While the share of Kazakhstan (X%) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2007-2017, the share of Mongolia (-X%) and Kyrgyzstan (-X%) displayed negative dynamics.

In Kazakhstan, sweetcorn imports expanded at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2017. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kyrgyzstan (+X% per year) and Mongolia (+X% per year).

In 2017, the sweetcorn import price in Central Asia amounted to $X per tonne, approximately reflecting the previous year. The import price indicated a remarkable growth from 2007 to 2017: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2017 figures, the sweetcorn import price decreased by -X% against 2014 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2008, when the import prices increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import prices for sweetcorn (prepared or preserved ) attained its maximum level of $X per tonne in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2017, it failed to regain its momentum.

Average import prices varied noticeably amongst the major importing countries. In 2017, major importing countries recorded the following import prices: in Kazakhstan ($X per tonne) and Mongolia ($X per tonne), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per tonne) and Mongolia ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2017, the most notable rate of growth in terms of import prices was attained by Kazakhstan (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the import price figures.
