The biggest shipments were from Kazakhstan (X tons), together resulting at 100% of total export.
Kazakhstan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the polyethylene glycols and polyethers in primary forms exports, with a CAGR of +28.8% from 2012 to 2021. While the share of Kazakhstan (+7.4 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) also remains the largest polyethylene glycol and polyether supplier in Central Asia.

Polyethylene glycol and polyether imports skyrocketed to X tons in 2021, increasing by 16% compared with 2020. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 25%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, polyethylene glycol and polyether imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports enjoyed a prominent increase. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Kazakhstan was the key importer of polyethylene glycols and polyethers in primary forms in Central Asia, with the volume of imports resulting at X tons, which was near 58% of total imports in 2021. Uzbekistan (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Mongolia (X tons). All these countries together held near 38% share of total imports. Among the main importing countries, Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +37.2%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in Central Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, with an increase of 39% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton), while Mongolia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kyrgyzstan (+4.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
