Tomato Market Size in Bermuda

In value terms, tomato imports stood at $X in 2018. Overall, tomato imports continue to indicate a sharp decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, tomato imports attained their maximum at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

Imports by Country

The U.S. was the key importer of tomatoes in the world, with the volume of imports finishing at X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2018. Germany (X tonnes) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Russia (X%), France (X%) and the UK (X%). The following importers - the Netherlands (X tonnes), Canada (X tonnes), Spain (X tonnes), Belarus (X tonnes), Pakistan (X tonnes), Poland (X tonnes) and Saudi Arabia (X tonnes) - together made up X% of total imports.

From 2007 to 2018, average annual rates of growth with regard to tomato imports into the U.S. stood at +X%. At the same time, Pakistan (+X%), Belarus (+X%), Poland (+X%), Spain (+X%), the Netherlands (+X%) and Canada (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Pakistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2018. Germany, Russia, France and the UK experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Saudi Arabia (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
