Australia (X tonnes), Tonga (X tonnes) and Bangladesh (X tonnes) took a relatively small share of total exports.

Exports from New Zealand decreased at an average annual rate of -X% from 2012 to 2019. At the same time, Bangladesh (+X%), India (+X%), China (+X%), Australia (+X%) and Tonga (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Bangladesh emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +X% from 2012-2019. By contrast, Malaysia (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of India (+X p.p.), China (+X p.p.), Bangladesh (+X p.p.) and Australia (+X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2019, the share of Malaysia (-X p.p.) and New Zealand (-X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, New Zealand ($X), India ($X) and China ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2019, with a combined X% share of total exports.

India (+X% per year) saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

The pumpkin export price in Asia-Pacific stood at $X per tonne in 2019, growing by X% against the previous year. Over the last seven years, it increased at an average annual rate of +X%. As a result, export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2019, the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per tonne), while Malaysia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
