The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest organic surface active agent and washing preparation supplier in Asia, comprising 30% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Japan ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by South Korea, with a 7.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in China totaled +6.8%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Japan (+3.7% per year) and South Korea (+5.3% per year).

For the tenth year in a row, Asia recorded growth in purchases abroad of organic surface active agents and washing preparations, which increased by 8.9% to X tons in 2021. Total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.1% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +70.9% against 2012 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 9.2%. Over the period under review, imports of reached the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
