Exports peaked at X units in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, crane exports shrank markedly to $X in 2020. In general, exports recorded a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports attained the maximum at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

Belgium (X units), Germany (X units) and the UK (X units) were the main destinations of crane exports from the Netherlands, with a combined X% share of total exports. The U.S., South Korea, Taiwan (Chinese), the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Mozambique, Colombia, France, Nigeria and Norway lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Colombia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Mozambique ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
