Wheat Gluten Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
The average wheat gluten export price stood at $1,580 per ton in January 2022, surging by 8% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2021 to January 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($2,350 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($1,400 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Wheat Gluten Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
In January 2022, the average wheat gluten import price amounted to $1,786 per ton, growing by 8.2% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2021 when the average import price increased by 50% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,116 per ton. From December 2021 to January 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices from Lithuania ($2,093 per ton) and Germany ($1,777 per ton), while the price for Belarus ($1,663 per ton) and Kazakhstan ($1,776 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (+3.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Wheat Gluten Exports in Russia
In 2022, the amount of wheat gluten exported from Russia stood at 55K tons, rising by 1.9% compared with 2021. Overall, total exports indicated a buoyant increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +15.7% over the last three-year period.
