The average waxes; artificial, prepared import price stood at $3,459 per ton in January 2022, shrinking by -2.7% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2021 to January 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2021 an increase of 14% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $3,554 per ton in December 2021, and then shrank in the following month.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In January 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to Turkey ($1,704 per ton) and Spain ($1,535 per ton), while the average price for exports to Switzerland ($1,461 per ton) and Germany ($1,523 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
