The average waxes; artificial, prepared import price stood at $3,564 per ton in July 2023, approximately reflecting the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2022 when the average import price increased by 21% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $4,587 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($7,305 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($2,031 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In July 2023, the average waxes; artificial, prepared export price amounted to $5,208 per ton, picking up by 12% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 21% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $5,377 per ton. From January 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($7,858 per ton), while the average price for exports to Vietnam ($1,314 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Taiwan (Chinese) (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
