The average waxes; artificial, prepared import price stood at $3,360 per ton in February 2022, shrinking by -10.5% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6%. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2021 an increase of 19% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3,823 per ton in November 2021; however, from December 2021 to February 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($4,638 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($2,204 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2021 to February 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
