In March 2022, the average waxes; artificial, prepared export price amounted to $1,466 per ton, picking up by 9% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.6%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2021 when the average export price increased by 21% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1,495 per ton in September 2021; afterwards, it flattened through to March 2022.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($1,784 per ton), while the average price for exports to Estonia ($860 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovenia (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

From June 2021 to March 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
