In March 2022, the average waxes; artificial, prepared export price amounted to $1,466 per ton, picking up by 9% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.6%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2021 when the average export price increased by 21% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1,495 per ton in September 2021; afterwards, it flattened through to March 2022.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($1,784 per ton), while the average price for exports to Estonia ($860 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovenia (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In March 2022, the average waxes; artificial, prepared import price amounted to $2,506 per ton, falling by -24.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a perceptible setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2021 an increase of 46% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $4,112 per ton. From June 2021 to March 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($5,664 per ton), while the price for Poland ($1,171 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+8.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Waxes; Artificial, Prepared Exports in Belarus
In 2022, approx. 42K tons of waxes; artificial, prepared were exported from Belarus; growing by 51% compared with the previous year. In general, total exports indicated a resilient increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +13.5% over the last three-year period.
