Umbrella Price in Vietnam (FOB) - 2022
In December 2022, the average umbrella export price amounted to $9.1 per unit, growing by 38% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2022 an increase of 43% month-to-month. The export price peaked in December 2022.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In December 2022, the country with the highest price was the United States ($34.5 per unit), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($5.2 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+15.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 12% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $6.8M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
